Description

This mint block of four stamps was issued during 1945 (July 11) to honor the U.S. Marine Corps. The design, taken from the famous World War II photograph by Joe Rosenthal of the Associated Press, shows U.S. Marines raising the American Flag on Mount Suribachi on the Japanese island of Iwo Jima. The stamps was printed in a color that was intended to match that of the marine uniform. These are extremely rare & unique, they are original, authentic and in excellent condition. Great piece of military memorabilia. Free shipping. I only accept PayPal for payment. Before buying this item, please contact me at: [email protected] to make sure it is still available.
